“There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark’s Eve,” Neeve said. “Either you’re his true love . . . or you killed him.”

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.

His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

From Maggie Stiefvater, the bestselling and acclaimed author of the Shiver trilogy and The Scorpio Races, comes a spellbinding new series where the inevitability of death and the nature of love lead us to a place we’ve never been before.

I have never been so much curious and delirious with Shiver because all I think was that its all about wolves or werewolves.(I think.) I mean no harm or any harsh words intended for the readers who loved that series. It just didn't made any impact of me that would make me feel so addicted on that series. Then there comes The Raven Boys and I was like, "Wow. This looks totally different. I wonder how she made that!". After that, Poof!. I searched for the synopsis and reviews of the book. I've read some that it totally made a new and different characters and world/s that can make a reader get a hold of it.

As I was reading the first chapter up to the next one, it seems so slow and too intricate. It totally requires a lot of patience and love for reading to continue it. But nevertheless, it keeps me on searching for more. Discovering the lives of every characters is totally gripping. The sole reason that I can't stop was my curiosity to discover the Glendower. It makes me feel like there is so much more from the pages that were waiting for my eyes to reveal the secrets and revelations. Then everytime I finish every chapters, it welcomes me into new scenes on my mind into enormously paranormal events of Blue and Gansey.

Throughout the story, it feels so enigmatic from the point of stepping into Aglionby Academy up to the ley line of Glendower. It was like a perfect yet frightening one because of their infinite curiosity to discover it. I admire their determination to seek answers that even Blue was drawn not just to them but also to Gansey's wits. There is never been more attractive than to a guy who never ends on seeking answers to every impossibilities. Adam Parrish is another character that I was also drawn into. Well actually with all the characters. Adam also has a mysterious and uncanny aura on him but everytime I read some of his thoughts, he's somehow a sensitive, soft, passionate, and a loyal friend. He never show fear on what he wanted and needed. Ronan on the other hand, is full of power and has an enormous courage inside of him. If there is any danger ahead, he can be very intimidating.

Knowing how can Blue evade with her feelings towards Gansey from the day she discover that she might kill him if they kissed is amusing to the extreme. There is this very normal teenage girl that should know the consequences of it, but she still can't evade her feelings. I find it very amusing because she is a composed girl and she always follows her Mom but when she learns that there is something hidden to her life she never hesitate on following all her desires and passion to discover it herself.

The Raven Boys is not just an ordinary tale of lovers that forms into an inevitable fate that could lead to their deaths, its full of deep driven hole that every readers would love to fall onto. It also forms a brotherhood that shows never-ending loyalty to each other on seeking the mystery together. If you ever wanted a book that would have a pack of paranormal romance and incomprehensible story, you better grab this one. But I might warn you that the end might left you floating until the next book comes out.
