Synopsis :
Sixteen-year-old Selena Fallon is a dreamer. Not a daydreamer, but an I-see-the-future kind of dreamer. Normally, this is not a problem, as she has gotten pretty good at keeping her weird card hidden from everyone in her small town. But when Selena dreams of her own rather bloody death, things get a little too freaky—even for her.
Enter Dillan Sloan. Selena has seen the new guy in a different dream, and he is even more drool-worthy in person. Beyond the piercing blue eyes and tousled dark hair, there is something else that draws her to him. Something…electric. Too bad he acts like he hates her.
When Selena learns she’s being targeted by a force bigger and darker than anything she ever imagined, she’s had enough. Despite her death dream, Selena is not going to give up easily, especially when she discovers that Dillan isn’t what he seems…and might not actually hate her after all. Dillan might be the only person who can save her.

"One thing's for sure, the guy you're supposed to be with shouldn't look at you like something he can possess."
- Dillan
First off, I'd like to thank PBT and Kate Evangelista for making this book tour possible. I am so thankful that I met Dillan at an earliest time. You'll find out why I feel so crazy over Dillan Sloan. (mehehehe...)
Til Death is the first book that I've read by Kate Evangelista and it definitely started with a big impact on me. Although I am not familiar with her books, I still grab the chance to join the book tour and read it right after they sent it. And it did not fail to surprise me as I went on reading Til Death.
It portrays the idea of Illumenari, they stands as the people, extraordinary and powerful people who are sworn to protect people from harm. Not just protect them from source of crime and death. It is more like keeping the balance of light and dark and making boundaries alongside with it. Moreover, they are given designated duties and responsibilities according to their rank.
I really really wanted to tell you more about the ranks about Illumenari but it would really spoil you and it is not totally fun. Besides, where's the chase if you already got it, right?
As I was saying, Til Death even delivers such a great insight of the small town. Her description with the setting will easily and effortlessly form in your mind as you were reading it. That's the first thing that I noticed with the way Kate Evangelista writes, she describes the very detailed information about the certain place and then it will suddenly lose your mind until you already felt that you were already standing next to it. Was that clear? I certainly hope so.
What makes Til Death even great is the idea of survival instincts of every character that she wrote upon this. Each one of them have their own way to protect themselves, as well as protecting the people who are important to them. I've seen how Dillan when everything go downhill and yet he even manage to survive and keep up with this duties. Then there is Selena who looks so innocent yet she hides a fierce persona within her.
I loved it even more because though it may look like a very serious task being an Illumenari, I assumed that they are strict and have a straight to the point ways of living. But it wasn't. Moreover, I felt entertained with the character of Dillan Sloan. Kate Evangelista suddenly created him to possess a whimsical sense of humor and I am always giggling like an idiot everytime Dillan attempts something that is out of his hand just to be with Selena. Although, there are times that I think he become out-of-character, I still find it very amusing to read about a young guy who only sees a girl annoying yet feels like Selena means the whole world to him.
Here's a fact, Kai and I were always talking about Dillan during our working hours. I totally admit that. I young guy that looks already hot with just wearing a plain shirt and to add more, owns a GT500 or GT300. Dillan, please, just come out of the book and marry me. I remembered when Kai told me that I was already within Dillan's spell. I truly admit that. If you're thinking who is Kai, she's one of the host of this book tour.
The best part, it is the love and hate tandem of feelings of Selena and Dillan. Their feelings are easily glides within my mind and it truly entertains me. It even leaves me on thinking how feelings can suddenly changes one person to be something they didn't expect to be.
Til Death leaves it readers reaching to the place of Illumenari. This book has the ability to give its readers an unexpected ride of feelings of the characters. I will definitely tell you that once you've finished reading Til Death, you already fallen in love with Dillan Sloan.
When Kate Evangelista was told she had a knack for writing stories, she did the next best thing: entered medical school. After realizing she wasn't going to be the next Doogie Howser, M.D., Kate wandered into the Literature department of her university and never looked back. Today, she is in possession of a piece of paper that says to the world she owns a Literature degree. To make matters worse, she took Master's courses in creative writing. In the end, she realized to be a writer, none of what she had mattered. What really mattered? Writing. Plain and simple, honest to God, sitting in front of her computer, writing. Today, she lives in the Philippines and writes full-time.
To add more of this, Kate Evangelista will have a book launch!! YAYYY!! I hope she will bring Dillan. though. LOL.
