Warm Bodies

Title : Warm Bodies
Author : Isaac Marion
Rating : 4 Stars

A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel.

R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.

Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving

This work of Isaac Marion is the first book that I've read about zombies. There are so many books about it, like World War Z, This is not a Test, and so many to mention! By the way, those are included on my to-be-read list. Oh, they are all spreading! And it is splendid! Because I seriously need to take a break on usual YA romance and thrilling kind of one. I need something that can totally blow up mind to a new world! Warm Bodies is a bizarre story that makes me want to learn more of all the possibilities of zombies, war, cure, civilization and humanity. It was one of the best books that I've ever read.

It is more than just a romantic kind of story, it tells about the insanity of being human and zombies. Humans to survive everyday that will make them realize that they can somehow change the world. That all of the plagues and disaster can be solved in their own ways, whether it will lead to brutality or worse death. Zombies that keeps on surviving everyday knowing that they are already Dead, but they still feel the Hunger and Thirst, they feel that they are somehow alive deep inside those rotten organs knowing whether they could function again the way Humans do.

R has such a great personality knowing that he is a Zombie, he keeps on thinking that the world may somehow change or worse remain as it is. I think that he has this emotion of being a Human in the first place, he sees and feels what was happening to the new world that he lives in. But he just cant help to eat Humans since it was their body is longing for. It change everything when he ate Julie's boyfriend, Perry.

Julie has a wild, courageous, and spontaneous personality that makes me like her a lot. She have this unique vision of the world before and what will become after the tragedies will end nor if it will be. When she was saved by R, she became more attached and familiar to the world they were in, the situation was inevitable but still, she believes that together they can overcome all of it.

Lastly, Perry, at first I just thought that he will just become another human that just get eaten by a Zombie with no particular roles after that, but its definitely not! Which makes me love this book more and more! For me, he is the most mature guy that I've ever read. He was aware of what will happen to his life but he still continues to live even when he was eaten by R, he still manage to express to him all the things that he realize to himself.
