The Rules for Disappearing Blog Tour + Giveaway

Hi! You've just visited my blog tour stop of The Rules for Disappearing hosted by itchingforbooks.blogspot.com

She’s been six different people in six different places: Madeline in Ohio, Isabelle in Missouri, Olivia in Kentucky . . . But now that she’s been transplanted to rural Louisiana, she has decided that this fake identity will be her last.

Witness Protection has taken nearly everything from her. But for now, they’ve given her a new name, Megan Rose Jones, and a horrible hair color. For the past eight months, Meg has begged her father to answer one question: What on earth did he do – or see – that landed them in this god-awful mess? Meg has just about had it with all the Suits’ rules — and her dad’s silence. If he won’t help, it’s time she got some answers for herself.

But Meg isn’t counting on Ethan Landry, an adorable Louisiana farm boy who’s too smart for his own good. He knows Meg is hiding something big. And it just might get both of them killed. As they embark on a perilous journey to free her family once and for all, Meg discovers that there’s only one rule that really matters — survival.

~ REVIEW ~

The synopsis is intriguing from the start, because it all leads into a deep oblivion of nothingness wherein how the character can cope up on surviving when all they've done is to disappear from other countries up until the next one. I searched and searched and searched until I saw that there is a blog tour regarding the book. Its like a jackpot because I've been itching on reading it (no pun intended). I feel like in dire situation to read this book.

Megan only wanted to know the truth behind the reason why they were in Witness Protection Program. It devastates her everytime the suits comes up and suddenly requires them to move into another country. Well everyone would love to switch from one place to another, but if the reason is kept hidden, you might want to question how your life should move forward. Reading the point of view of a teenage girl struggling with complications in life seems very common a lot these days, but this one moves the reader into another mindset of escaping and staying at the same time. It feels very unique upon the course of the story. Ashley Elston already describes how painful it is to be out and away from the people who became so important to Megan and Mary. In the midst of it, as they moved to Louissiana, Megan didn't intend to have a closure look on being with Ethan Landry. Oh God, this young guy is created with PERFECTION. I swear.

From the start of the story, I already noticed how original and brave can this young guy can be. Because Ethan already knows his responsibilities with his family. He knows everything when is the right time and place to even fight for it. It never fails to amaze me how Ethan never knows on giving up to Megan. On the top of it, I totally admire his curiosity on knowing all behind Meg and their family. He was created to have such unique techniques to even save Meg from the pitfall that she's been through.

Megan on the other hand, it seems like I can hear her voice everything she's in pain when she realizes how hard her family has been going through. But as the story goes by, everytime she reminisce the places that they've stayed, it felt very nostalgic. That's one of the unique parts of this story. Every places that Megan describes, I can easily grasp everything. She's also a character that was made to possess an infinite hope to escape and solve all of it. Meg's and Ethan's determination is one of the top reasons I devoured this book.

Speaking of DEVOURING this book, I can't help but laugh and feel very giddy everytime Ethan makes a move on doing any unexpected lovable gestures. Their love for each other is not just a common girl-falls-for-bad-boy thing. The way they express their love and as their thoughts speaks up, it's unpredictable to the core.

The last thing, another reason that my eyes just keep in reading this book, I admire how each and everyone of them displays a unique way to respond in every unexpected ways.

The Rules for Disappearing creates a new form of love and responsibility for the people that are important to us. It also shows how a bargain of life and can lead into disaster. The story also embarks on such a high step of  familial love, everything that you've wanted to read or feel on knowing how it hurts a lot when one is at pain, it all goes in this book. I admire how Ashley Elston also created a twisted course upon the story. THIS BOOK IS UNPREDICTABLE.
