"I get it. The things you hope for the most are the things that destroy you in the end"
- Will Grayson

I am undeniably inquisitive with the idea of falling in love even more when I started reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson. It's just that the words were highly striking to my heart. The sentences were bold and real. It all makes sense on how stupid, funny, and crazy it makes to drive people on falling in love. David Levithan and John Green created a masterpiece of LGBT. It is splendid.

Okay, I think the next part of this post will be confusing because both of them has the same name so I will make Will Grayson as the straight guy and O.W.G.  for the gay character.

Actually, both of them almost has the same perspective in matters of life. I feel both of them wanted to diminish the fact of caring and knowing other people's feelings and just to be free and alone. I don't mind it though. I liked the idea of it truthfully. But as the matter of fact, the moment they met, it gradually magnifies their existence. Will Grayson suddenly discovers how friendship and love can embellish life, i do not mean this in a dramatical way, but in a hypothetical way. Because a guy who only thinks about clear cuts in life and keeping quiet seems to be a bit problem, even if it means to be silent in all times. But Tiny Cooper, oh I cant explain much about this character! He's like the fire in the story. Making it all aflame in every chapter. I'm not saying that Will Grayson and O.W.G. are not like that too. Because all of the characters have their own individual kind of way in emblazing the novel. I was in love with it in every single way.

O.W.G. feels like a glass that may shatter anytime once his secret is revealed. He is careful with his thoughts but when love smiled at him on the internet, his defenses went down. I felt his devastation of being betrayed. The reality that hits him emotionally is so hard to contain. That's what makes this a consummate novel. The cruelty of being fooled out of love deeply hurts that it went direct straight on my heart. (Okay, I'm a BIT emotional)

Tiny Cooper and his passion for the musical is very splendid! The choice of the music tunes up into their lives in all way. I was even astonished with the fact on how Tiny have thought all of it. Because trust me, the lyrics which aligned ito their thoughts can knock you out.

One thing is for sure once you started reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson, YOU WILL BE HARMONICALLY ENGAGED WITH IT. At the end, you will even face the words that can make you realize how people can cope up in falling in love.

  1. I haven't read the book yet, but I heard a lot of good reviews. :)

I think what made this an effective book on LGBT is the involvement of David Levithan -- he did spectacular works tackling the third sex. :)

    Awesome blog! <3

  2. Will Grayson, Will Grayson was a great book. But, it's kind of a slam dunk when you've got John Green and David Levithan writing, isn't it?
