Inside Their Literary Thoughts : Amy Plum *Interview + INTL Giveaway*

It's been a while since I interviewed another author so I'll make it up to you guys/girls. I am bringing you AMY PLUM, *i am not bringing her personally*. I just invented this blog feature so by all means, just bear with me.

After I read After the End at a station, my mind just wanted or demands a sequel right away. This thing happened.

The idea or concept of Juneau and her clan is simply fantastic and mysterious also the character of Miles. He is like one of the common city type of guy and then ventures into the world of Juneau. From that point, I decided that I NEED to have an interview with her.

Here it is!

1. Tell us 5 facts about you.

- I am 1/4 Norwegian, 1/4 Estonian, and 1/2 mix of English, Irish, Scot, Dutch and French. A typical American.
- I prefer an adventure holiday to sitting on the beach. Something with history and ruins is right up my alley.
- Books are my life. If I am not writing one, I have to be reading one.
- My favorite ice cream flavor is rum raisin. Warning: I change favorites all the time.
- I have a master's degree in medieval art history, and used a lot of my knowledge from that in the DIE FOR ME series (especially book 3).

2. What's the feeling to start a new series?

Scary, but exciting. It is like looking up at a very high mountain, tightening your boot laces, and then saying, "Okay. Let's go!"

3. What sparked you to create a novel that tackles about connecting with the nature?

I didn't set out to write about connecting with nature. I just found Juneau, and the story came from her. Connecting with nature was a big part of who she and her clan were, so I had to follow them as far as that goes!

4. Is it just greed that Miles's Father is so aggressive to have the formula from Whit? Or will we know a deeper reason beyond it?

In the case of Mr. Blackwell, it is mainly greed and success. In the case of someone else, who you will meet in Book 2 (UNTIL THE BEGINNING), there are deeper reasons.

5. Should we expect more Oracles for Miles and Juneau?

There are no oracles in Book 2. That freaked out Miles too much in Book 1, and though it would come in handy, Juneau respects him too much to force him to do that again.

6. Random Question: Cats or Dogs?

Dogs. Hands down.

7. Any message from your Filipino readers? :D
I hope to come to the Philippines one day, having heard it is a beautiful place. And a bonus: I have so many Filipino readers! I want to come meet you all!
