Clockwork Angel
Title : Clockwork Angel
Author : Cassandra Clare
Rating : 4 Stars
Magic is dangerous—but love is more dangerous still.
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.
Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What’s more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own.
Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by—and torn between—two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length . . . everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world. . . . and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.

I've read many good reviews and feedbacks of The Mortal Instruments and its already included on my TBR list, but by some twist of fate and also my twisted mind, I was captivated to The Infernal Devices! So here I am! Haha!
Firstly, I'd like to make a gracious bow to Cassandra Clare for bringing me to the world of Steampunk. I never thought it could be that wonderful and almost realistic. From the details of the clockworks up to the end, she clearly made up something that could make you feel intense to the main characters, which are Tessa, James, and Will(I'm in love with this fictional character. I swear. If given a chance, I'll grab this man out of the book!). The world that she created the Shadowhunters, it is immensely satisfying! I was flabbergasted with every chapters of this book!
Set in the world of England with superbly new theme which is the Shadowhunters, I totally loved Cassandra Clare's creation of the characters, she made exactly on how they will put their roles on the story.
Tessa, from the beginning of the book, she is characterized as a book lover, sweet, gentle, and brave lady. A lady that is strong enough to dwell into another world. I see her as a composed lady, but everytime she's with Will her heart and soul easily flows into him, which makes it more ridiculously awesome!
James, he's the silent, responsible, devoted man and also a gentle one. He was this kind of guy that any lady would definitely want to be with him because of his endearingly beautiful eyes and gentle hands everytime he plays the violin. When Tessa is around with him, he suddenly became a strong and brave man that will protect her at all cost.
On the other hand, Will (my love!), he's the kind of guy that has a mysterious aura that would still make you fall head over heels. Another thing that I loved about him, his decisions that he pledges to do. He is one of a kind devoted man to his parabatai and family.
Since it is the prequel of The Mortal Instruments, I get to know more of the old rules and how or why they are made. The Shadowhunter Codex.
