The Night Circus
Title : The Night Circus
Author : Erin Morgenstern
Rating : 4 Stars
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des RĂªves, and it is only open at night.
But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway—a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love—a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whenever they so much as brush hands.
True love or not, the game must play out, and the fates of everyone involved, from the cast of extraordinary circus performers to the patrons, hang in the balance, suspended as precariously as the daring acrobats overhead.
Written in rich, seductive prose, this spell-casting novel is a feast for the senses and the heart.

This book has an outrageous and spell-binding pages which makes me keep on turning for more. It makes me feel I'm inside the Circus, every tents that I visited (on my mind) is so fantastic and a facsimile of everything that I wanted a Circus must have. When I read the synopsis, what caught my attention most is the competition or should I say duel inside of it. This is the first book that mainly focuses on a Circus so I was new to the environment of it, but as I keep on reading it, Erin Morgenstern deeply and thoroughly guides me beyond the Circus and the competition.
The characters she have made, all of them were exceptional and uniquely made. Their talents embodies their appearance exactly as it is. It is totally lovely, every detail of the Circus, the competition/duel, and the characters.
It showed me to another way of sacrifice and love. The sacrifice that the previous people in the Circus have done, and the unconditional love of Marco and Celia. These two characters were craftily made to be the best competitors and magicians by their mentors, then by twisted fate they fall in love and together they created an we world for the Circus. It also view that changing the rules might cost a huge sacrifice.
This one can open your mind to the Circus that you've been dreaming about. It's everything.
