Title : Under the Never Sky
Author : Veronica Rossi
Rating : 4 Stars
Since she'd been on the outside, she'd survived an Aether storm, she'd had a knife held to her throat, and she'd seen men murdered.
This was worse.
Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland—known as The Death Shop—are slim. If the cannibals don't get her, the violent energy storms will. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He's wild—a savage—and her only hope of staying alive.
A hunter for his tribe in a merciless landscape, Perry views Aria as sheltered and fragile—everything he would expect from a Dweller. But he needs Aria's help too; she alone holds the key to his redemption. Opposites in nearly every way, Aria and Perry must come together to survive. Their unlikely alliance forges a bond that will determine the fate of all who live under the never sky.

Everytime that I read Dystopian or Post-Apocalyptic Young Adult novels, I already expect that it will put me into a new world. But this book is more than that. There is a world for REAL and on our IMAGINATION. It feels like a "bang" on my mind. Yes, I'd like to live in Realm, in Reverie. I think it's every people wishes it to be, a place where everything that we think is almost the same to perfection. But at some point, I feel so sad on the citizen within the Realms. Relying on their SmartEyes just to have something that could turn to reality, it's like make-believe beyond their minds. That's what I love on Veronica Rossi's world. She created a world beyond our imagination that we can create and then we can suddenly realized that there is always a real world beneath it. It makes me realize the things that are real, things that we felt on our flesh, we smell, see and feel is the most important thing. It can never be replace into anything.
The characters were made into different perspectives upon their lives. The way they live I mean. Everyone of them have unique views into the world even though they all live in the same world. All of them interconnects with each other as Athens story goes by. It's like tying the knots together that can make a strong and un breakable bond.
Perry can be very impulsive and persuasive once he made decisions whether for himself or for his Tribe. He never hesitates on doing what he thinks could be the rightful thing to do. His determination is so unique. Seriously. I love it everytime he's with Talon, I imagine him being the most sweet uncle ever.
Aria, on the other hand seems to be fragile and brave at the same time. Well who wouldn't feel that when you were exiled on your nation , right? She's so curious into everything she sees and feels. She opens her mind into a new environment and facing the reality. I also love her fierce attitude everytime there is danger ahead.
Under the Never Sky can take you into reality that can face everything that we sees. It creates a new way to be brave and courageous even in the most crucial and dangerous situation. Just like they say, being brave is the only way to escape. Veronica Rossi also made such a luscious and funny romance novel that you can't help yourself to smile nor giggle from what the characters felt.
