The Jack prophesied: If the king loses his head, then the Queen with a Bleeding Heart would rule the Red Court until Time ceased to move forward. When a second carried on for infinity, every creature in Wonderland would tip their Hat to the misfit girl with a Boy’s name (or was it a boy with a Girl’s name?) who’d end the Reign of Terror. However, it all hinged on the One-Eyed Hare being able to convince an uninspirable Heir that the impossible was indeed possible—like stopping time—and that Love was worth a Beheading.

Heads would Roll…
Hearts would Break…
In the end, would it matter who Reigned?

Prophecies can definitely catches my attention every time. I am in love with the idea of people having visions to hear or feel about something that will happen even before it will eventually happen. So I was glad to have an email from the author about reading and reviewing this book. Though I sincerely apologize to Sarah on finishing and posting this so very late in time. I hope this wasn't a part of my prophecy, isn't it? HAHA

I was overwhelmed on having too many prophecies of every characters. Primarily with the girl with a boy's name or rather the boy with a girl's name. It is definitely complicated to understand which is which. In a reason for that, I just continued on reading it until it felt like I am slowly inside the prophecies. It is kinda wonderful to think that many things might happen even though there's already a prophecy between them.

The prospect of Wonderland is definitely enchanting, it is quite not what I expected in the usual Alice in Wonderland image. Think of it as being in complete darkness. I was sort of blinded with what Alice Mae turned into when she first entered in Wonderland. There are so many things to discover beyond it.

The characters are which are originally in Alice in Wonderland are still present, yet(there is a big yet!) all of them are very mysterious for me. I already read Alice in Wonderland which I know how every character acts, but with Death of the Mad Hatter, all of them moves in such an unexpected ways.

Now, about the romance that sparkled between Ryley and Alice Mae. At first it was just hatred and anger that emblaze beyond them. Then at sudden events, Ryley became aware about the thin line between love and hate. And dude, he definitely crossed that line just to be with Alice Mae. If you're looking for a guy who's willing to sacrifice everything for love, stop right there, read this book.

Death of the Mad Hatter is swirling with unexpected romance and engaging events. It is more like seeing Wonderland in a twisted way. This is more that just "Off with their heads" thing. Though, you might fall head over heels with Ryley. You'll feel different form of sacrifice and revenge and it will never fail you.

  1. The story looks interesting! I always loved the story of Alice in Wonderland and I'm open for books with the similar concept (even thought I haven't read Splintered by AG Howard yet)!

P.S. The cover looks very gorgeous!
