Solena, a young healer with a generous heart, is desperate to heal her dying grandfather. When she ventures into hostile territory to find a rare herb, she finds out just how much she’s risked when she’s captured by the enemy and accused of being a spy.

As a soldier, Rundan has struggled all his life to please his father, a ruthless army commander, but when he’s ordered to take the beautiful trespasser to the royal courts, where she’ll be summarily tried and executed, he’s plagued by the most inconvenient desire to protect her.

Though terrified and anxious to escape, Solena is confused by the handsome young soldier who cruelly captures her and then displays uncommon kindness. When he risks his own life to save hers, she discovers she may have risked more than her life… she may have lost her heart.

A pleasurable and an immense romantic novella that will keep you on reading for more. This may be a quick read for some but this novella already embodies unconditional love between your family and a man that will protect you at all cost. It already builds a variant of feelings that people may feel as you finish this novel. A nation full of healers and other gifts that has its own task for their own family and to help their nation. Its a wonderful place to think that Lena Goldfinch creates another world full of people with gifts. The people have their devotion to their task and creates a law that needs to be followed.

Solena wanted to protect and heal her Grandpeer, but the only solution is to climb the high mountains and to have tymia. She has a brave soul and an enormous determination to heal his Grandpeer since he is all the she has as a family member. Solena may seem to have a tamed looks at first because she is not yet ready and fully compelled to be a healer, but as she travels and experience many things that she learned, she became more determined not just to be an ordinary healer, to be more than that and at the same time to save her Grandpeer.

Rundan who is also a devoted man that clearly wanted to prove his position to their army and especially to their leader which is also his father. He is a type of man that will never know how to give up once he already made up his mind. He may be reluctant to follow the orders of his father but as he met Solena, he became familiar to the only goal that he wanted all of his life. He doesnt need to prove to his family on what he is because if they truly love him, his father can accept him as he is, as a man who loves to learn ancient text and use it somehow upon their lives.

These two characters already made a mark on my heart, this novella can make you realize that two people can do a sacrifice for the people that they love even though it may take a big consequence on their lives forever.
