Phoenix PH Blog Tour {Guest Post + Giveaway}

Thanks for dropping by on this tour stop hosted by The Bookaholic Blurbs!
The Black City PH Tour was a total success and I'm very glad to be a part of it. As it continues with the sequel of Black City, I'm so much excited and giddy to be part of this again. I'd like to thank Kate for hosting this very awesome tour!

Without further ado, we'll be having a wide sneak peek on the insides of the sequel. We'll be sharing some scene that inspired Black City and Phoenix. Today Elizabeth shares a scene that inspired the Ivy Church in BLACK CITY and PHOENIX. The Ivy Church is where Ash lives with his dad, Minister Harold Fisher, and where Ash’s mom was kept hidden in the crypt.

“I approach two derelict high-rises, which lean against each other like sleeping giants. Nestled
in the crevice between them is an old church, its gray stone walls strangled by ivy, the bell tower
leaning slightly. Home.”

“The inspiration for the Ivy Church was St Mary Magdalene’s Church Tower in Stony Stratford,
England—a crumbling, gothic bell tower that soars high into the bleak gray skies hanging over
the historic village. I can just picture Ash standing by the arched windows, his pale skin glowing
in the moonlight, while he looks across Black City toward the Boundary Wall, which surrounds
the Legion ghetto where his people are being held captive.”
